Ateneo, La Salle bumandera sa Youth shootfest

MANILA, Philippines - Umasinta ang Ateneo at La Salle shooters ng tig-tatlong medalyang ginto upang magsalo sa karangalan sa katatapos pa lamang na 2nd NYDP (National Youth Development Program) anniversary tournament sa PNSA/Marine range sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Ibinigay nina Gregory Go­chuico, Ana Katrina Uybarreta at Laarni Limkin ang gold sa Ateneo, habang sina Alfonso Her­moso, Maika Lacson at Aaron Torres na nagpasikat naman sa La Sallians.

Nagtala si Gochuico ng 464 at bumaril naman si Uybarreta ng 315 sa men’s at women’s air rifle (without jacket) event, habang bumandera si Limkin sa class B air pistol competition.

Umasinta si Hermoso ng 568 sa men’s 50-meter rifle prone, nagsumite si Lacson ng 457.3 sa women’s air pistol elite at nagpatumba naman si Torres ng 501 sa men’s air pistol (tyro) event sa torneong ito na suportado rin ng Spring Cooking Oil at Ms. Arlet Garcia Dizon ng AGD Travel Services.

Umagaw rin ng eksena si Laos Southeas Asian Games campaigner Mica Padilla ng Assumption College, matapos na dominahin ang women’s 25-meter sport pistol event.

Tinalo ng 18-anyos na si Mica, anak ni SEAG gold meda­list at NYDP chair Nathaniel ‘Tac’ Padilla, si Shanin Lyn Goznales ng Woodbridge College ng isang puntos at ang third-placer na si Alyanna Krystle Chuatoco ng ICA ng 62 puntos.
