RP host sa Asian Seniors Men's Volleyball

MANILA, Philippines - Para palawigin ang isport na volleyball sa Pilipinas, sa pamamagitan ng Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF), iho-host ng Pilipinas ang 15th Asian Seniors Men’s Volleyball Championship sa Setyembre 25-Oktubre 5 na gaganapin sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium at San Andres Sports Complex sa Maynila.

Pamumunuan ng bagong hirang na vice president na si Gener Dungo at tinalagang si Atty. Vic Rodriguez ang tatayong chairman ng Executive Board ng 15th ASMVC. 

“We’re very proud to have been chosen to host this prestigious tournament, and the PVF willingly accepted it to fulfill its noble commitment to the nationwide volleyball development and promotion of sports tourism in the country,” anang Adamsonian na si Dungo.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng 216 manlalaro, buhat sa 18 bansa, sa unang pagkakataon aaksiyon ang 10-day competition ng volleyball sa bansa. Kabilang sa mga lalahok ay ang China, Chinese-Taipei, Japan, Korea at Australia.

Bukod sa ASMVC, host rin ang Pilipinas sa 8th Asian Volleyball Confederation Assembly na eeksena sa Setyembre 26. (Sarie Nerine Francisco)
