MANILA, Philippines - Magbibigay ng 100 porsiyentong scholarship para sa athlete student ang Diliman Preparatory School, kilalang world class at may mataas na kalidad na edukasyon sa bansa.
Ito ang alok ni DPS president at dating Senadora Ann Dominique Coseteng sa mga atletang estudiyante na nagpakita ng outstanding achievements at nagbigay ng karangalan sa paaralan.
“It’s about time that we give due recognition to the invaluable efforts of our student- athletes. I hope this will encourage them to study and train harder,” pahayag ni Coseteng, na naging presidente ng Diliman Preparatory School noong 2006.
Ang mga sports na mabibiyayaan ng scholarship ay ang basketball, volleyball, table tennis, wall-climbing, chess at taekwondo kung saan karamihan ng varsity team ay kabilang sa Pambansang koponan.
Mabibiyayaan sa nasabing scholarship ang kambal na sina Stephanie at Patricia Go sa chess, Jaira at Charizza Camille Alombro sa taekwondo na kinakitaan na ng potensiyal sa ilalim ng sports development program ng paaralan.
At bilang resulta ng extensive campaign ng nasabing paa-ralan, ginawaran ang Diliman Preparatory School (DPS) ng parangalan na “School of Excellence Award” ng Center for Educational Measurement Awards (CEM) dahil sa mataas na performance sa College Scholastic Aptitude Test (CSAT).
Hinahatak ni Coseteng at ng Board of Directors na pinamumunuan ni Chair Emeritus Prof. Ofelia R. Angangco, Chairman Rafael Lope R. Angangco, Vice President Alma Jocson, Board Member Emelita Bernabe, Corporate Secretary Atty. Raoul R. Angangco, Executive Director Lycette B. Ventura, High School Principal Emelita Bernabe at Grade School Principal Dr. Carolina Duka, ang DPS sa advanced learning.
