Coach E basketball team nalo sa Australia

CANBERRA -- Matapos makakuha ng mahalagang karanasan mula sa kilalang basketball institution ang Coach E Basketballl, ginamit ng Coach E basketball team ang kanilangmga natutunan matapos talunin ang mga teams sa Australia.

Tinalo ng koponan na hina-wakan ni Xavy Nunag, kahalili ni veteran mentor Eric Altamirano, ang Canberra under-14, 54-45 sa finals.   

Ang mga miyembro ng team ay sina Mark Lawrence Gamboa, Theodore Ballesteros, Raphael Nikkolo Alcalde, Jeremiah Vizmonte, Miguel Luis Nitorreda, Jaime Zalamea, Waldrich Go Siy, Nicolo Mercado, Roberto Andres, Julius Barraquias, Nicholo Estrada, at Luigi Altamirano.

Bago sumali sa invitational youth tournament, nag-training ang Coach-E squad sa Australian Institute of Sports sa ilalim ng kilalang si coach Rob Beveridge.

Natalo sa Canberra ang Coach E team sa opening match ngunit naging epektibo ang kanilang ginawang mga adjustments para makabawi.

 “We had to make adjustments because of few rule changes. Zone defense is not allowed in the Australia under-14 event, the ball size is six compared to the normal size seven and there was no 24-second shot clock implemented,” ani Nunag dating University of the Philippines Maroons standout.

Sa harap ng naghihiyawang Canberra Filipino community, lumarong bigay todo ang Coach-E five sa pangunguna ni Mercado sa kanyang back-to-back triples na naging mitsa ng pananalasa ng mga Pinoy.

Tinanghal na Overall tournament Most Valuable Player si Mark Gamboa na nanguna sa halos lahat ng all statistical categories habang tumulong naman si Nitorreda sa rebounds sa ilalim.
