Bilis, sandata ni Pacquiao sa mas matangkad na si Dela Hoya

Mahihirapan mang mapabagsak ni Manny Pacquiao si Oscar Dela Hoya dahil sa four inches height advantage nito, sinabi naman ni world light middleweight contender Rashad Halloway na tiyak na masasaktan si “Golden Boy”.

Sa maraming beses nilang sparring session, hindi kataka-taka na sabihin ito ng 5-foot-10 1/2 na si Halloway.

“I’m going to be honest, we know he has the power to knock him out… I think so, but we know Oscar’s pretty tough. I’m not really pick-ing him to knock him out but I’m picking him to out-work Oscar,” ani Halloway. “I guarantee you he’ll stun Oscar at some point du-ring the fight. Stevie Forbes was able to touch Oscar. Oscar’s not that good against southpaws. I think Manny will be able to touch him a whole lot.”

Ang bilis ng 5’6 na si Pacquiao ang siya nitong magiging sandata laban sa 5’10 1/2 na si Dela Hoya sa kanilang non title welterweight fight sa Disyembre 6 sa MGM Grand Garden sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ayon kay Halloway, may 9-1 win loss ring record kasama ang 5 KOs, si Pacquiao na ang pinakamabilis na fighter na nakabangga niya sa ibabaw ng boxing ring.

“Manny is very explosive. You really won’t know until you’re in the ring with him. Manny has the fastest and most explosive feet I have seen in the ring. He can close the gaps so well. Manny has a big heart but he has to be careful in this fight and not go trading pun-ches and his heart get the best of him,” sabi ni Halloway.

Bukod kay Halloway, ang iba pang sparring partners ng 5’6 na si Pacquiao sa Wild Card Boxing Gym ni American trainer Freddie Roach ay sina light welterweight Marvin Cordova, Jr. at lightweight Amir Khan.

Inaasahan rin ni Halloway na nakuha na ng 29-anyos na si “Pacman” ang lakas ng katawan bilang isang welterweight fighter mula sa pagiging isang lightweight.

“Honestly, I was shocked by his power. First I didn’t think Manny would have that much power and a couple of times, I kind of messed around and got hit with shots,” ani Halloway. “Manny’s definitely gaining some power up from lightweight. His legs are tremendously big. That’s where his strength comes from his legs. He’s very explosive.”
