-

Ermito de Sagon ng University of Sto.

“We are open to proposals of playing for a truly national championship because we have actually been doing that already. And it should be held either before or after our season,” ani de Sagon. “But for us to lose our identity, history and tradition as a league (by agreeing to a merger), I don’t think we (UAAP member schools) are ready to part with that.”

“And besides, we are also available to lend our players coming from other sports, not just basketball,” wika ni de Sagon.

“But there was never any talk of a merger,” pagpapabulaanan ni Dr. Sergio Cao, chancellor ng University of the Philippines na siyang tatayong host ng 2008 UAAP sea-son, sa kanilang unang napag-usapan ni Gre-gorio.

(Russell Cadayona)
