117 cue artists sali sa 2006 RP World Pool Championship

May kabuuang 117 players na kakata-wan sa 42 bansa ang nagsiguro ng puwesto sa 2006 Philippines World Pool Championship sa susunod na buwan.

At inaasahan pa ang pagdating ng iba bago dumating ang takdang laban sa Nobyembre 4-12 sa Philippine Inter-national Convention Center.

Ang Amerika ay may 13 players, pina-kamaraming entries sa pamumuno nina 2002 champion Earl ‘The Pearl’ Strick-land, many-time US Player of the Year Johnny Archer at one-time US Open champion Rodney Morris.

Kasunod ang Chinese Taipei at Philip-pines na may tig-12 players, ayon kay Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP) chairman Yen Maka-benta sa PSA Forum sa Pantalan Restaurant.

Babanderahan naman nina dating World Pool champions Alex Pagulayan (2004) at Efren Reyes (1999) ang listahan ng kuwalipikadong Pinoy players kasama ang 10 pang iba na kinabibi-langan naman ni Dennis Orcullo, na kapapanalo lamang sa katatapos na 2006 World Pool League tournament sa Warsaw, Poland.

Mangunguna naman sa Chinese Taipei contingent sina reigning world champion Wu Chia Ching at 2000 winner Fong Pang Chao.

Ang Germany ay may 9 entries sa likuran nina dating world champions Thorsten Hohmann (2003), Ralph Souquet (1996) at Oliver Ortmann (1995).

Ang China ay magpapadala ng tatlong players, tigalawa ang Qatar at Brunei na kasama sina Crown Prince ng Brunei, Prince Muhtadee Billah.

Dalawang karagdagang players mula sa South Africa ang ikukumpirma pa ng Matchroom Sports ang lead promoter ng torneo.
