Maganda na sana ang panahon asam para sa Petron Beach Volley

Umaasa ang mga organizers ng Petron Ladies Beach volleyball tournament na magiging maganda ang panahon sa Biyernes para sa 3rd leg ng annual event sa Clearwater Country Club sa Clark, Pampanga.

"Hopefully by Friday ok na ‘yung weather. We’re very optimistic about it," sabi ni Tisha Abundo, ang dating sports commissioner na in-charge sa four-leg event sa weekly PSA Forum sa main function room ng Pantalan Restaurant kahapon.

Kasama ni Abundo na dumalo sa public sports program na sponsored ng PAGCOR at ni Manila Mayor Lito Atienza sina Raoul Sia, vice-president ng Asian College of Science and Technology, Mark Lord, general manager ng Clearwater Country Club, at lima sa 20 babaeng maglalaban-laban sa July 28-29 meet na sponsored ng Gatorade, Action N Fitness Magazine at Asian College of Science and Technology.

Inamin nina Misha Quimpo at Patricia Taganas ng Ateneo na mahirap maglaro kapag umuulan kumpara sa maaraw na panahon.

Sinabi naman ng Atenean din na si Bea Pascual, na may advantage at disadvantage ang paglalaro sa wet condition.

Kakampi ni Pascual si Averil Paje, na dumalo sa forum kasama sina Sherly Laborte ng Bacolod na kapartner ni Nerissa Bautista.

Ang iba pang teams ay sina Kristine Abando-Lailani Tenazas, Lorna dela Cruz-Chariza Castro, Dafne de Borja-Lourdes Patilano, Farah Dumalagan-Jardine Nepomuceno, Anna Nasayao-Kamille Mesina, Madonna Rimando-Chona Lorenzo at Melissa Legaspi-Concepcion Legaspi.

Ang champion ay mag-uuwi ng P10,000 at P5,000 sa runner-up.

Ang PUP pair nina Kristia Ricana at Kathy Sotejo ang champion sa second leg noong nakaraang summer.
