SENADO NANAWAGAN

-
Nanawagan ang siyam na senador sa pangunguna ni Committee on Games, Amusements and Sports chairman Sen. Lito Lapid sa Philippine Olympic Committee na i-rein-state ang Basketball Association of the Philippines upang maidaos ang basketball event sa nalalapit na Southeast Asian Games.

Bukod kay Lapid, ang iba pang senador na nanawa-gan sa POC ay sina Senators Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla, Jing-goy Estrada, Mar Roxas, Joker Arroyo, Alfredo Lim, Panfilo Lacson, Juan Flavier and Aquilino Pimentel Jr.

"The immediate recommendation of this committee stands and that is for the POC to heed to the recommen-dation set by FIBA to POC President Jose Cojuangco, to return to the status quo when BAP was fully recognized by POC, as the only solution to allow the country’s immediate participation in the Southeast Asian Games," ayon sa statement ng mga Senador.
