Hindi makikilala ang bagong Green Archers ngayon, dahil halos kalahati ng nakaraang pang-championship na grupo ay wala na. Tila naitambak si Wilson sa mga pinagbibintangang nagbenta ng finals laban sa Ateneo. Bigla na lang siyang binitawan pati ng ICTSI sa PBL, ang koponang binubuo ng Green Archers.
"No one even came up to me and said "Oh! We'll give you this or will give you that." I’ve never been presented with the chance, so that came to me as a shock when I found out about that game-fixing or game-selling or whatever you want to call it," pagdiin ni Wilson.
Wala rin namang nagpaliwanag sa kanya nang mapadpad siya sa Sunkist-Pampanga bigla-bigla."They said they had to make room for the younger players of La Salle to help them improve or whatever they need to improve with so I don’t know if they were shopping me around to trade me to another PBL team or what," salaysay niya. "But I ended up being released by ICTSI."
Ang pinakamasaklap sa lahat ay nang malaman ni Wilson na ilan sa mga nasa Green Archers ay naniwala sa mga bintang, bagamat wala man lamang nagtanong sa kanya. "When I first heard the rumors, I was somewhat shocked but when I started to think about it, I can see why these rumors would come about.
Because of the way I was playing towards the end of the season my numbers were falling and my minutes per game were also falling, specially in Game 3 of the finals. I really played a bad game."
May hinanakit si Wilson, lalo na sa kanyang coach na si Franz Pumaren. Ayon sa kanya, nagkikita pa rin sila, pero hindi na sila nag-uusap. Naglaho na ang mainit na pagsasama nila ng mahigit limang taon. Dahil dito, parang napaso si Wilson.
"I don’t put so much trust in people because you can be with somebody, around someone for five whole years, and then the last year...they can just turn their back on you," dagdag ng Fil-Am forward. "Someone you could’ve considered a father figure to you... someone could’ve considered your guardian but somebody that you felt that was close to you and ‘basically you look up to’ they can just turn their back on you...do a quick 180 and not even look back on it."
Ngayon, nagsisikap na lamang si Wilson upang makapasok sa PBA, at para na rin mabura ang masakit na katapusan na natamo niya sa DLSU. Anuman ang nangyari doon, matatangay lang ito ng hangin kung patuloy na magiging matagumpay ang Green Archers sa UAAP. Pero patuloy pa ring magdaramdam si Willy.
