Mikee speaker sa Philippine Congress on women sports

Kabilang si Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski, nagpamalas ng impresibong pangangabayo sa individual showjumping event ng equestrian sa final day ng competition ng 14th Asian Games sa Busan, South Korea ang siyang naghatid sa Team Philippines ng ikatlong gold medal sa resource speaker ng nalalapit na 1st Philippine congress on women sports sa Nov. 21-24 sa Tagaytay International Convention Center sa Tagaytay City.

Tatalakayin ng 28-anyos na si Mikee ang ‘Playing and Motherhood’ na isa sa inaasahan sa technical sessions ng apat na araw na talakayan na may temang ‘Converging the Divergence of Philippine Women Sports: issues, Action and Initiatives.’

Iniluklok bilang ‘Golden Girl’ ng bansa, si Mikee ay sumabak sa mabigat na kompetisyon na nilahukan ng mga world-class riders nang kanyang mapagwagian ang individual showjumping gold sa mahusay na performance sakay ng kabayong si Rustic Rouge.

Makakasama ni Mikee sa naturang technical sessions ang iba pang babaeng sports icon na gaya nina Bong Coo-Garcia (mula bowling to business), Lydia de Vega-Mercado (mula athletics to politics) at Dyan Castillejo (mula tennis to media) na nagkumpirma rin ng kani-kanilang partisipasyon bilang presenters sa confab.

Di sinasadyang ang biyenan ni Mikee na si Senator Robert Jaworski ang isa sa resource speakers ng Women Sports Congress. Tatalakayin naman ng tinaguriang ‘The Big J, dating Olympian at isa sa PBA’s 25 greatest players ang tungkol sa ‘Working Effectively with Women: A Sportsman’s Perspective."
