Magbabalik ang World Grand Prix Womens Volleyball Championship sa bansa makaraan ang dalawang taong pagliban at bahagi ng preparasyon ng four world rated womens volleyball teams para sa Womens World Championships ngayong Agosto.
Sisimulan ang preliminary rounds na sabay na iho-host ng Tokyo, Japan at Chengdu, China sa Huklyo 12-14. Ang finals ay lalahukan ng mga seeded team China at tatlong koponan na may maraming Grand Prix points makaraan ang preliminary rounds na idaraos sa Aug. 1-4 sa Hong Kong.
