MOA sa pagitan ng PBA at BAP pipirmahan sa Lunes

Inaasahan na ang Memorandum of Agreement sa pagitan ng Basketball Association of the Philippines at ng Philippine Basketball Association na nagpapaubaya sa PBA sa exclusive formation at buildup ng komposisyon ng men’s team na lalahok sa Pusan Asian Games ay nakatakda ng lagdaan sa susunod na mga araw, ayon kay BAP president Quintelliano "Tiny’ Literal.

"It should be formalized at least by Monday," ani Literal sa PSA Forum sa Holiday Inn Manila.

Idinagdag pa ni Literal na dumalo sa forum na hatid ng Agfa, Red Bull at McDonald’s na bagamat hindi pa niya nakikita ang draft ng MOA sinabi nito na "I have given my personal assurance to PBA Commissioner Jun Bernardino to give the league the blanket authority to form and train the National team to next year’s Asian Games."

Sinabi pa ni Literal na pumayag ang PBA na i-waive ang allowances ng mga manlalaro sa National team mula sa Philippine Sports Commission at ang pondo ay isasalin sa pangangailangan ng BAP para sa kanilang developmental program.

At dahil sa sinagot na ng PBA ang pagbuo ng RP squad, sinabi pa ni Literal na "I personally believe we have the biggest chance next year of winning the men’s basketball gold in the Pusan Asiad a very long while."

"I have witnessed the competition during the ABC championship in Shanghai, China. I know that the PBA, especially with the Fil-Ams, has the best talent on the top teams in Asia."
