"Puwedeng ibenta ng San Miguel yung franchise sa taga-labas, at puwede rin namang to another PBA team. But it’s really up to the approval of the board," dagdag ni Barrios, na nagpahayag din ng panalangin para sa madaling recovery ni Commissioner Jun Bernardino.
"We’re all hoping that Purefoods’ fate will be resolved as soon as possible. Nothing has yet discussed with finality, that’s why Purefoods haven’t scouted an import for the second conference. Also four of its players have expiring contract, among them are Alvin Patrimonio and Andy Seigle," paliwanag ni Barrios.
"But the scenario now is different. I just hope that the Purefoods issue will be resolved at the soonest time. Purefoods will be allowed to stay up to the end of the year as our policy states that resigning members should do their leave only at the end of the season."
"Most likely, we’ll have nine or 10 teams next season. If Purefoods leaves, Welcoat’s application could be entertained but everything is really up to the board," wika ni Barrios.
