Vice President Sara Duterte begged off yesterday from her scheduled appearance before the National Bureau of Investigation to answer allegations of grave threat against President Marcos, and sent instead her lawyer to explain her absence and seek a rescheduling.

Residents of interior barangays in Aleosan town in Cotabato province surrendered 16 firearms, rocket and grenade launchers to the Army’s 34th Infantry Battalion on Tuesday, November 26.

Vice President Sara Duterte has asked the National Bureau of Investigation to provide her with their questions in advance before she faces their probe on her remarks that she has ordered a hitman to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. if she is assassinated. 

The National Bureau of Investigation said that it will take the alleged threat on Vice President Sara Duterte’s life seriously, but stressed that she also needed to cooperate.

Vice President Sara Duterte failed to appear at the National Bureau of Investigation headquarters Friday morning, November 29, where she was summoned as part of an investigation into her remarks about hiring a hitman to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez if she were to be assassinated.
