Medical mission in San Fernando, La Union set

MANILA, Philippines - The Federation of Philippine Industries (FPI) is seto to conduct a medical mission in tandem with the Filipino-American Physicians of Washington (FAPWA) in the city, FPI chairman Jesus Lim Arranza announced. FAPWA is spearheaded by its president, Dr. Dante Jesus Dumaguin Arranza, son of FPI chairman Arranza.

Slated on Jan. 30 and 31, 2016, the medical mission is also being conducted in coordination with the office of San Fernando, La Union mayor Pablo Ortega. Around 30 medical professionals from different specialties will provide services for an expected 1,000 patients each day from different barangays.

FPI said the medical mission is part of FPI’s advocacy to serve Filipinos who could barely send themselves to medical institutions for medication.

Last year, the group also conducted a medical mission in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur.

Dr. Arranza studied and graduated with a degree of B.S. Biology Major in Micro Biology at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños, Laguna and pursued his medical education at the University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. After passing the Philippine Medical Center at New Jersey he took his residency training for internal medicine at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center at New Jersey. Currently, he is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and also a board certified in Internal Medicine.
