MANILA, Philippines - Twenty-nine financially challenged patients suffering from ovarian and uterine tumors were operated on through Manila Doctors Hospital’s (MDH) surgical mission called WE SHOUT, or Women Empowerment through Surgical Help on Ovarian and Uterine Tumors. The mission, which is now on its 16th year, was held on Oct. 3, 10 & 18, 2015. It was headed by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in coordination with the Corporate Social Responsibility Department, Department of Anesthesiology, and other medical units. Through the support of Metrobank Foundation, WE SHOUT has provided over 300 free surgeries to deserving financially challenged patients who have benign tumors in their ovaries and uterus.
