CCP offers local tour grants

MANILA, Philippines - The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) through its Cultural Exchange Department (CED) will give out local tour grants of P50,000 each to nine qualified cultural performing groups from the regions to enable them to implement a short tour of their productions within or outside their community.

Through the program, the CCP CED endeavors to support and motivate local cultural performing groups to achieve artistic excellence and promote local art and cultural expressions. More importantly, the program would be a fitting celebration of the center’s regional cultural work in the last three and a half decades. 

Following the CCP’s 45th anniversary theme of “Sining ay Buhay, Buhay ang Sining” (Art is Life, Art is Alive), the local tour grants program will present the flourishing of arts and culture in the regions.

Three performing groups per region (Luzon/Visayas/Mindanao) will be given the tour grants.  The grantees are expected to render two performances in two sites with an interaction session after each performance. The chosen groups must implement their local tours anytime between July-August 2014.
