Avon hails anti-domestic violence ads

MANILA, Philippines - Avon announced the winners in the “Speak Out Against Domestic Violence Public Service Ad Competition” during the recently-concluded Screening and Awards Night.

Avon president and general manager Kanwar Bhutani, with Local Campaign Ambassador Ruffa Gutierrez, led the awarding ceremony and revealed the competition’s winners. Emerging as grand champion was Team Tiwala of the Ateneo de Manila University with Bien-Bien Tan, Bibien Tan, Leslie Bayona, Sarah Buyco, and Trina Khio who received  the P75,000 cash prize for their outstanding entry.

Second place was the Storm Troopers team, with members Cesar Manuel Lorenzo, Victoria Lucia Crisostomo Ortega, Jose Alfonso Manrique  and Christina Mariz Kaur Bhatti Rodriguez who received P50,000 cash prize. Named third placer and recipient of the P25,000 cash prize was the Be Heard group composed of Maria Carmela Estolas, Ukrain Castro and Kevin Francis Remigio.

The People’s Choice Award, with a  P5,000 cash prize and P5,000 worth of gift certificates, was given to Justin de Jesus, Claude Gan and Mcki Oprenario of the Ju Clauki group, for leading in the online voting poll.
