Rizal model student tilt launched

-

MANILA, Philippines - The 2011 Search for Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines, an annual contest for college students conducted by the Knights of Rizal with the Commission on Higher Education, was launched recently and the deadline for submission of entries is Dec. 2, 2011.

Knights of Rizal acting supreme commander Reghis Romero II said that the search committee headed by Emmanuel Cabusao received numerous requests from colleges and universities all over the country to get the contest rules and entry forms as early as the opening of classes in June to allow them to conduct early local selection of their candidates.

Schools should send their entries via courier or fax/email to the following address properly endorsed by the college dean or president: The Selection Committee, Search for Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines, International Headquarters 3rd Floor, Knights of Rizal Building, Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila.

Cabusao said the search was initiated in 1988 and has honored the best of the Filipino youth who best epitomize the Rizalian qualities of academic excellence and leadership in campus and local, regional, national community activities as well as achievements in international undertakings, as well as the Rizalian virtues of love of country, thereby serving as living models to the youth of the land.

The search is open to all public and private colleges and universities in the Philippines.
