More teachers trained

-

MANILA, Philippines - Nineteen public school teachers from various public high schools in Mandaluyong, Makati, Parañaque, Pasig, Quezon City, Marikina, San Juan, and Taguig successfully completed Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training under the Global Filipino Teacher (GFT) program of Globe Telecom.

GFT is an intensive six-day training workshop that trains teachers on how to integrate ICT in teaching basic subjects like English, Science, Math, and HeKaSi. The training program is equivalent to masteral degree units should the teacher want to pursue higher education.

The latest GFT module brings the total number of ICT-literate teachers trained by Globe nationwide to 116. This year, Globe expects to train more teachers, bringing the total number of ICT-trained public school teachers to over 200 by year-end, in areas such as Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Biliran, Samar, Leyte, Panay Islands, Negros Occidental, and Misamis Oriental.
