Dog owners and canine friends walk for the planet

MANILA, Philippines - Pet owners and their canine friends recently showed their commitment to the environment by participating in Bark for the Environment, A Walk Your Dog Event at the Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife in Quezon City. The event, held by Smart Communications in partnership with the Animal Welfare Coalition and the Earth Day Network Philippines, drew close to 100 individuals and more than 60 dogs of all sizes and breeds. Trophies and gift packs were awarded to winners of the 1.5k and 3k walks. Dog owners and their four-legged counterparts also affirmed their commitment to the environment by affixing their hand and paw prints on a commitment wall.
