Cebu Capitol Brings Free School Supplies to Argao Pupils

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Cebu Provincial Government provided assistance to families facing the rising cost of education as it distributed free school supplies to public school pupils in Argao town yesterday.
Cebu Gov. Pamela Baricuatro, together with provincial officials, led the distribution of backpacks, pad paper, notebooks, pencils, pencil cases, erasers and water bottles to pupils as part of the Capitol’s continuing support for education and Cebuano families.
Baricuatro said the initiative aims to ease the financial burden on parents while ensuring that children have the basic learning materials they need in school.
“We may not be able to make every school expense free, but we can certainly make the burden lighter—one backpack, one notebook and one pencil at a time. Every little help we give our children is an investment in Cebu’s future.”
The governor emphasized that supporting education goes beyond providing school supplies, saying every effort to help children stay in school and remain prepared to learn contributes to the province’s long-term development.
She said the provincial government will continue bringing programs and services closer to communities, particularly to families who need assistance the most.
For the pupils of Argao, the distribution was more than just receiving new school supplies. It was also a gesture of support from the provincial government as they pursue their education and build their dreams for the future.
