Lapu-Lapu City Fiesta League 2026 kicks off

CEBU, Philippines — The Lapu-Lapu City Government, through the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Commission, officially opened the Lapu-Lapu City Fiesta League 2026 at the Hoops Dome in Barangay Gun-ob last Sunday, September 13.

Congressman Junard “Ahong” Chan graced the formal opening ceremony, together with Sports Committee Chairman Janvi de la Serna and Sports Commissioner Vince Carungay.

The annual league features a diverse lineup of sporting events, including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, boxing, sepak takraw, tennis, table tennis, soccer, cycling, chess, skateboarding, darts and airsoft.

The expanded program provides more opportunities for athletes of different ages and skill levels to participate and represent their respective communities.

Under the leadership of Mayor Cindi King-Chan, the Lapu-Lapu City Government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening grassroots sports and providing more opportunities for Oponganons to participate in sports and community activities.
