MANILA, Philippines — Despite seeing her debut in the Berlin Tennis Open come to an end early Sunday morning, Alex Eala is not heading home empty-handed. 

Eala will be bringing home almost P4 million after finishing in the semifinal round of the Berlin Open. 

According to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA,) the semifinalist of the tournament will bring home €57,395, or P3.9 million.

She also earned 195 ranking points in the WTA 500 tournament. 

The Filipina fell in the semifinal round against Linda Noskova, 6-2, 6-4. 

Still, she had a run to remember after beating Donna Vekic, World No. 2 Elena Rybakina and World No. 8 Elina Svitolina.

According to the WTA live rankings, Eala is currently the World No. 30 tennister. 

She will see action in Bad Homburg next.
