Already on its 2nd year, Tanduay once again is bringing five of the biggest rock bands in 20 cities nationwide. This year, Bamboo leads the First Five Tour together with Kamikazee, Sandwich, Chicosci and 6 Cyclemind. A total of 16 events were held in various provincial areas from April to October of 2010 with four remaining gigs in CDO, Butuan, Tacloban and a grand culminating event in Cebu come December. First Five reinforces the brand’s standing of being the number 1 Rhum in the country. It also represents the banner brand of Tanduay, T5.

One Tour. One Dream. One Voice. This is the battle cry for Tanduay’s First Five.

2010 also saw the launch of Bamboo as the newest endorser of Tanduay for all its advertising campaigns. As the most sought after band in the land, proven by its numerous endorsements, awards won and album sales, they are known to express their views and feelings about love, politics and life in general.

Bamboo will be touring 12 cities in Luzon with General Luna, an upcoming all girl band as front act. Dubbed as “The One”, Bamboo’s own tour will rock mostly secondary areas in Luzon not covered by First Five. 

Rhum Rockfest

As if that is not enough, Tanduay, the Rock Authority will rock Manila for one night. The concert tour that Tanduay is doing so well will have to give way for Tanduay’s biggest rock concert ever.

Dubbed as Rhum Rockfest Year IV, the event will showcase 27 popular bands from 3 decades. It happens tonight at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds from 5:30 pm until daybreak.

First Five bands will be joined by popular acts like Hilera, StoneFree, Pedicab, General Luna, Rivermaya, Protein Shake, Tanya Markova, Rico Blanco, Gloc 9, Franco, Peryodiko, Markus Highway and Parokya ni Edgar. The event will also witness the reunion of the 90’s bands in one grand concert, featuring Siakol, Color it Red, The Dawn, Razorback, The Wuds, Grin Department, Yano, The Youth and Wolfgang.

The younger bands are excited to play alongside the same stage with their idols. They will be united by their passion to share their own kind of music to their fans. The much anticipated 90’s bands that helped shaped the Philippine Music Industry today will be the highlight of the concert. They were the inspiration of the popular bands these days. 

It will be a celebration of music and talent, a celebration of Original Pilipino Music.

Tonight promises to be a night to remember. As the TV ad goes, from all the corners of the earth, from all generations, from all the best of the best, Tanduay will be gathering them all in one big concert. A real treat for the loyal consumers to experience their music and at the same time enjoy Tanduay.
