MANILA, Philippines - For 109 years, La Funeraria Paz has always upheld its commitment of bringing excellent and dignified memorial services to the nation.
Since 1900, as witness to numerous events including the ravages of war, the fast changing events and growing competition, La Funeraria Paz has remained steadfast in serving every valued client and such luminaries as Apolinario Mabini, Melchora Aquino and Fernando Amorsolo.
It was in 1989 when the Prudentialife Group acquired majority ownership of La Funeraria Paz. Since then, the company expanded with the renovation of the Araneta branch in 1992. Two years later, its Baguio City branch opened. La Funeraria Paz is the first mortuary in the country to introduce state-of-the-art crematory units and later offered a fleet of top-of-the-line Mercedes Benz hearses from Germany, a modern-line yet affordable caskets. At present La Funeraria Paz has a total of 58 chapels – 27 in Araneta, 7 in Baguio City and 24 in Sucat, Parañaque which was established in 2002 in partnership with Manila Memorial Park (MMP), the country’s first and largest memorial park and the House of Investments.
Today, La Funeraria Paz ushers in far reaching changes to keep pace with the times. It recently inaugurated a fourth mortuary in the country’s oldest and most historic cemetery in La Loma, Caloocan City. La Funeraria Paz-La Loma operates 28 furnished viewing chapels through a lease agreement with La Loma Parks, Inc. developer of the 2.1 hectare area within the Catholic cemetery. Prudentialife Market Resources Corporation (PMRC) has been appointed by La Loma Columbary, Inc. as its exclusive marketing company for the columbarium vaults, full-body crypts and mausoleums in the Columbary Complex at the La Loma Catholic Cemetery.
La Funeraria Paz, Inc. (LFPI) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cross Creek Development Corporation, the developer of La Travesia Park (Memorial Park) in Lipa City, Batangas, owned by General Milling Corporation (GMC). Combining their resources and expertise, La Funeraria Paz – Lipa will operate the mortuary and non-sectarian viewing chapels housed inside the La Travesia Park.
A new integrated look of PAZ-Araneta with an expanded façade of the present North and South Wing structure will open in December; with a valet-assisted multi-level parking building fronting Araneta Avenue, the mortuary complex includes an activity center and lounge, coffee shop, mini mart, boutiques for flowers and other shops. A meditation chapel will serve the spiritual needs of bereaved families and friends.
La Funeraria Paz is the realization of a dream over a century ago. Today, La Funeraria Paz is a bright icon of excellence and dignified service in the memorialization industry.
