Beauties & the best: Why Rustan's is The Beauty Source

MANILA, Philippines – Lucy Torres-Gomez: I like going to Rustan’s because it is a one-stop beauty shop. I get overwhelmed when there are too many choices but even if they carry full lines of almost everything, it never feels impersonal. There is still that cozy feeling exclusive to small boutiques. I also appreciate that the salesgirl behind the counter is knowledgeable about the products Rustan’s sells.

 I like Annick Goutal for its scents that evoke old-world luxury. I am smitten by their moisturizing body mist, especially because the packaging is just too pretty. I feel like a pampered princess who just got out of a tub filled with rose petals.

 Bobbi Brown is great for foundation and they recently brought back their fat lip crayons which I totally love and missed.

 I like Nars blush in Orgasm and their lip pencil in the Roman Holiday shade. They also have lip lacquer that makes the lips look as if they have been kissed by diamonds.

 Body Scrubs from Origins make my skin silky and smooth. I always carry in my kikay kit their Peace of Mind.

 For very fine loose powder, Chanel and Dior have the absolute best.

 I love Paul & Joe for the old-fashioned feel and look of their bottle, plus their good foundation primer and lipsticks.

Tisha Bautista: I love Rustan’s because it is always up-to-date with the latest beauty products and trends. Their people also know their product lines well. Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer is my top favorite because it is very consistent and certainly not heavy. Their mineral powder and lipstick are good and the colors never change. I like Bobbi Brown’s cream blush, Pot Rouge, because it looks so natural on the face. For my husband, ANDY BAUTISTA, I always get Creed’s Silver Mountain Water and L’Occitane’s Green Tea, which has that refreshing smell.

Louie Ysmael: Rustan’s is the best place when you are looking for quality, and quality is what I always look for. Creed’s Vetiver has a nice manly scent that is smooth and never overpowering. Chanel has its Pour Homme line which I am fond of. I really like old, time-tested products.

Kit Zobel: I love going to Rustan’s for its beauty products that contribute to my well-being as well. My favorite is L’Occitane, the brand that comes from the French Mediterranean region where lavender and rosemary are grown and made into scents. I like L’Occitane’s Verbena line of shampoo, conditioner and body gel because of its very nice and very fresh scent. I also go for its vegetable-based soaps.

Barbara Aboitiz: I have so many favorite beauty brands which I get only from Rustan’s. Topping my list is Clinique DDML (Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion), my all-time favorite night moisturizer for many years now. The Clinique Mascara is one thing I never leave home without. I love the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow and the eye contour pencil that comes in very nice, earthy colors, perfect for a natural look. For perfumes, Chanel and Annick Goutal are perfect for every occasion. From Murad, I get their nice wash gel and daily moisturizer with SPF.
