MANILA, Philippines - Most motorists are wary of LPG installations—a bad rap coming from fly-by-night LPG installers and unknown and unproved conversion kits. The poor kit quality and uncertified, unsafe installations caused many customer complaints and indeed many risks, fueling fear in the public about health and safety concerns.
Enter Econogas-Voltran LPG Kit. Known in Europe as VOGAS PLUS, it is currently the most advanced LPG kit available anywhere in the world due to its Dual-Core engine management interface. It is exclusively imported and distributed in the Philippines by Econogas Technology Inc. (ETI)
Coupled with the professional workmanship done by Econogas technicians who are certified under the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) with at rank of National Certification (NC) to ensure all safety techniques are within or exceed local and international standards, a VOGAS PLUS installation means total performance and professional handling.
This professionalism is reflected in the fact that Econogas-Voltron kits have gone through the strict Hoan Bosai (quality-set) standards set by Nissan Motor Philippines Inc. and has received certification by Toyota Motor Philippines, Inc. It has also received a go signal from Iseway Motors, Inc., the Philippine distributor of the Chery brand of automobiles. In all three cases the quality and installation standards set by these companies were applied to Vogas LPG kits.
In fact, Toyota Motors Philippines conducted extensive testing and validation that allows VOGAS PLUS installation to the Toyota Vios, Avanza, Innova and Altis without voiding or violating the factory warranty. This means the customer will have the unhampered protection under –the normal 3-year, 100,000 kilometers Toyota warranty.
In the case of Nissan, the kit was tested exclusively on the Nissan Sentra GX 1300 and for several Chery vehicles including the QQ, Tiggo and V5.
Econogas-Voltran VOGAS PLUS is an LPG Sequential Gas Injection System (SGS) with a Dual Core Computer System. This system differs from the regular LPG ECU due to the state-of-the-art Motorola-controlled electronic control unit (ECU) with two, instead of just one processor.
The system co-developed by Voltran and Motorola works in parallel with the vehicle’s own computer and does not interfere in any engine management system actually anticipates the requirements of the vehicle through intelligent processing regulates the fuel flow of the gasoline and LPG depending on the load, speed, and power requirements of the vehicle.
The result is better fuel economy, smoother operation, less wear and tear and best of all, more power for half the fuel cost.
At pump prices of unleaded at P38.00 maximum versus P18.90 per liter of LPG fuel, the use of VOGAS PLUS will provide the motorist using about 15 to 25 liters per day can easily recover his investment in as fast as 4 to 6 months. That is a saving of about P8,500 per month for an average 15-liter per day usage or P14,000 per month if the vehicles uses about 25 liters a month.
After the first year, the converted vehicle will deliver many, many years of trouble-free operation with continued fuel savings. There are over 150 LPG refilling stations all over Metro Manila and more in the Visayas and Mindanao. Moreover, gasoline stations will soon have at least one LPG refilling pump in their stations in response to the growing number of private LPG vehicles.
As an additional benefit, Econogas-Voltran offers an unprecedented insurance coverage for the engine after installation. The peace-of-mind provided by this coverage is a definite advantage exclusive for the Econogas customer.
And at the end of the day, the VOGAS PLUS system means 75% less carbon monoxide emissions, 85% hydrocarbons, 87% less ozone-damaging emissions and 20% less sulphur particulates. It’s truly better payback for the pocket and for the environment.
