PDRF sets disaster training

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Working with the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF), the first batch of private sector representatives successfully completed a hands-on and very physical disaster training course at the Bataan facilities of the Canadian Emergency Risk Management. PLDT employees are shown in photo practicing firefighting techniques. Various disaster scenarios are included, including search and rescue techniques after an earthquake. PDRF, the country’s permanent private sector disaster response organization, plans to have groups from other companies take the three-day course along with teams from barangays and cities around the country. Zamboanga City will be sending a team to train in Bataan later this year.
