Love actually

SOUTH SCENE - Katsy Borromeo -

Breathing romanticism into the air, Cebu was host to one of  the biggest weddings in the country. For the wedding reception of dashing young couple

Carla Salimbangon-Yeung and Chris Mckowen, the Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Hotel transformed with floor to ceiling white drapery.

A wrought-iron gazebo stood on stage embraced by thousands of tiny lights set on a backdrop of lush greens. The bride and groom opened the ceremony

with their first dance serenaded by Martin Nievera who specifically composed a song for the newly wed couple.

Heart warming performances and speeches given by family and friends left the bride, who was gorgeous in Monique Lhuillier, teary-eyed.

The newlyweds: Tisha and Miguel.

While for the union of Davao’s celebrated couple Sarangani Governor Miguel Rene “Migs” Alcantara-Dominguez and Maria Patricia “Tisha” Montemayor-Ang, a posh destination wedding was held at Taipa, Macau. With family, relatives and dear friends as witnesses, Migs and Tisha exchanged solemn vows at the Church of our Lady of Carmel. Dinner reception followed at the Lotus Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel in Cotai Strip.
