Film workshops at Arts in the City

MANILA, Philippines - Arts in the City adds to its wide range of programs with film workshops from September to November 2010. Budding filmmakers can join workshops on cinematography, scriptwriting, and directing.

Basic Cinematography (course fee P12,500), to be taught by Pao Orendain, will be held on Saturdays, from September 4 to October 2, 9 am to 4 pm. The course covers lighting technique, discussions on cameras, film, and more.

The scriptwriting course, entitled “The Found Story Narrative” (P6,500) will be from November 8 to 13, 1 to 5 pm with Armando “Bing” Lao.

Carlitos Siguion-Reyna will teach the directing workshop (P19,500) where students will learn the basis of visual storytelling, script analysis, and other aspects of film.
