Feathered fancy

MANILA, Philippines - Coming back from a weekend trek to Mt. Pinatubo, STAR chief photographer Val Rodriguez stumbled upon Zoocobia, the latest attraction in Clark Field, Pampanga, just 10 to 11 kilometers from the entrance of Clark, at the back of Expo Filipino.

Opened just last year, the area is still being developed, but is already open to curious local and foreign visitors.

Already, Rodriguez has noticed that the new zoo has much to offer beyond the sights of the usual Metro Manila zoos. He was fascinated by the different species of birds in the area and was impressed by how clean the place was being kept.

Rodriguez says it is part of a photographer’s life to discover new places and Zoocobia is a discovery that is sure to delight visitors.
