White Hot glass exhibit at Ayala Museum

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Australian Embassy in Manila has unveiled White Hot: Contemporary Australian Glass at the Ayala Museum in celebration of Australia Day.

The exhibit is a unique showcase of Australia's creative glass industry and highlights eight internationally celebrated glass artists – Nadege Desgenetez, Wendy Fairclough, Deirdre Feeney, Jessica Loughlin, Tom Moore, Brenden Scott French, Itzell Tazzyman, and Janice Vitkovsky – who challenge preconceived notions of what glass can be.

Contemporary Australian glass artists have received international acclaim. White Hot is the first Australian glass exhibition to have toured Asia, visiting Bangkok, Hanoi and Kaohsiung.

The exhibition is one of the highlights of Celebrate Australia 2010 and will run until Feb. 26 at the Ground Floor Gallery of the Ayala Museum.
