MANILA, Philippines - The Hewlett-Packard Company Foundation has made a donation of P16 million ($350,000) to the American Red Cross International Response Fund to assist with disaster relief efforts in the wake of tropical storm “Ondoy.”

The fund provides immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to individuals and communities affected by disasters.

“We are grateful that the Hewlett-Packard Company Foundation is committing aid to Ondoy relief efforts,” said David Tan, managing director, HP Philippines.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has launched an urgent call for donations from outside the Philippines. For more information visit www.ifrc.org or www.redcross.org.
