The Japan Foundation's 2009 group-tour program

MANILA, Philippines - The Japan Foundation Manila is pleased to announce the three Philippine participants in the 2009 group-tour program for secondary school educators: Ma. Celine Calado (Muntinlupa Science High School), Maria Petra Romualdo (Minapan High School, Tulunan, Cotabato in cooperation with Metrobank Foundation) and Eduardo Tan (F. Torres High School, Manila). The program aims to promote understanding of Japan in foreign countries and deepen mutual understanding between Japanese and overseas educators.

They will be granted an all-expense-paid trip to Japan from Oct. 1-14, during which time they will visit Tokyo and other localities in order to observe, understand and appreciate the Japanese educational system, society and culture. The study-tour involves visitation of schools, government institutions and various cultural organizations, trips to scenic spots, historical and heritage sites and a home stay with Japanese host families.
