UNSGAB sets handwashing day

MANILA, Philippines - The United Nations Secretary General’s Advisory Board chair HRH Crown Prince Willem of the Netherlands and its board members are promoting sound water and sanitation practices under its Hashimoto Action Plan. One of the programs that is now being promoted is Global Handwashing.
On Oct.15, at 3 pm, Global Handwashing Day will be celebrated at the Podium, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The public is invited to join the celebration to encourage people to adopt this vital yet basic daily practice. Partners of the event are Unilever, SM Malls, the Girls Scouts of the Philippines, Unicef, DOH, Manila Water, and Zonta International.
