Artists fun run set

MANILA, Philippines – Run for your life, run for the arts.

The Artists’ Welfare Project Inc. (AWPI) is inviting everyone to come and join the fun today, 4 to 6 p.m. at the La Salle Greenhills Track Oval (Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan).

The AWPI Fun Run & Walk for Life is being held together with La Salle Greenhills to show solidarity and support among artists and the community, to create awareness in the general public of AWPI’s mission to grant welfare benefits to all artists in our community.

The non-competitive activity is open to all artists and cultural workers, their families and friends, and anyone who wants to run for the arts. There are two categories of runners: runners who will be sponsored by any number of benefactors, and self-sponsored runners who simply pay the registration fee to join the fun run/walk for life.

And since it is an artists’ project, expect much more than just running or walking. There will be arts performances, booths with unique items for sale, food and other goodies, plus celebrities to gawk at and take photos with.

Partners in this unique and fun-filled event are La Salle Green Hills (LSGH), GMA 7 Artist Center, Otsuka Pharma, First United Travel, the Manila Broadcasting Company, Malarayat Golf and Country Club and Active Group, Inc.
