Ethnic + Jetset = TanGan

my LIPS are SEALED… sometimes… - Maurice Arcache -
"A woman forever in transit" is undoubtedly the muse of Lulu Tan Gan’s latest collection, unveiled at the Mandarin Oriental, dahlings. Cosmo manille’s A-1 list of the perfume set were convinced that inspite of her innovative and unique creations, TanGan maintains practicality and simplicity in her tres chic collections.

While there were a lot of ethnic touches in the collection, TanGan citified the silhouettes into something she called "Ethno Metro". Graphic black and white coordinates were secured by deconstructed denim obi sashes, long tube dresses were paired with pants to echo the Vietnamese ao dai, kimono lapel-like cowl necks and Roman toga-inspired draping gave dramatic contrasts to bootleg pants.

Then there is the innovation called the TG Convertible Wrap–multi-purpose knit tops where one or two of the sleeves can be converted to scarf, turban or shawl. Lulu’s day-to-evening looks, palanggas, were matched successfully with latest footwear from Figlia and Celine, accessories from Fernandez-Campos and Fino.

Patrick Rosas and his team of maquillage magicians kept the models aglow with blushy cheeks and rosy lips, thanks to Shiseido’s new shades. Eric Faury of Franck Provost styled the models, keeping faithful to the TanGan concept.

Remember, palanggas, "If we stop and look, we will see God at work." Smile. See you.
