Kisses for Hope

Beauty for a tres worthy cause marked Avon’s latest project, "Kiss Good-bye to Breast Cancer" super campaign which was launched at an emotional ceremony at the Conservatory of the popular Manila Peninsula half a full moon ago, dahlings. Avon hopes to raise a cool P5 million to buy a mammography machine and set up a breast cancer care center at the Phil. General Hospital. Hotshot power women of the lunch bunch and other noted ladies from various influences were tres visible to lend support.

Heading the pack was the dedicated woman of the Phil. Cancer Society, the dynamic Dra. Mita Pardo de Tavera no less, with Cosmo-Manille’s well-heeled personas like The STAR’s own Precious Soliven, Millet Mananquil, Mons Tantoco, Girlie Rodis, Domini Torrevillas; other media namedroppables Marixi Prieto, Rina David, Deedee Siytangco, Myrza Sison, Pauline Suaco, Margie Espino, Pennie Azarcon, and Kara Magsanoc-Alikpala, a breast cancer survivor. Former beauty queens Lorraine Schuck, Abbygale Arenas, celebs Rachel Alejandro and Celeste Legaspi were all rah! rah!-ing their support.

To ensure strength in numbers, lip imprints of notable women like mega-star Sharon Cuneta, Janice and Gelli de Belen, Zsa Zsa Padilla, sisters 3 Mikee, MaiMai and China Cojuangco, media ladies Liza Gokongwei, Thelma San Juan, Chelo Formoso and Sari Yap were on display at the launch.
