Three at a Time

The usually serious Speaker of the House Joe de Venecia literally rocked the house by letting loose on the dance floor with his wife, head-turner Gina Vera Perez de Venecia, during the impromptu bash after the 1st Speaker’s Cup at Wack Wack Golf Club.

The celeb golf tournament sponsored by the Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. (csfi) to build the Haven for Streetchildren in Muntinlupa, dahlings, raised a cool P2.5 million, said event organizer Margie Duavit, wife of Rep. Jack Duavit. Winners included Bones Floro, who also garnered the lowest score of 71!, Mike Echavez, F.F. Cruz and Rep. Danton Bueser. Hot-shot members of the Lower House and sports figures attended the event, which had energetic President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo hitting the ceremonial tee-off shot.

During the awarding, Buddy Zamora and the Buddy Buddies Band provided hot rock-n-roll sounds. The Speaker gamely cracked jokes and hosted the raffle of fabi prizes like tickets to Hong Kong, cellphones and more.
