Best Dressed, Part 5

Five men and nine women stood out among the glittery glam of the recent awards ceremonies for the 5th Annual Manilas Best Dressed, dahlings, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The winners were announced by this years executive search committee chaired by two-time awardee Gerry Contreras and Hall of Famers Baby Fernando and Baby Arenas plus founding chairman Karr Marin.
The awardees included Phil. STAR EVP Grace Glory Go in a Jeanne Goulbourn creation; simply elegant Belen Ticson Martel in a black St. John; Maricris Albert of Fila donned Escada with a diamond tiara; interior designer Bonnie Ching wore Alex Bitong; Rhett Eala dressed newscaster Karen Davila in black; Malou and Letlet Veloso made three gowns for Tereret Tambunting-Liboro; San Francisco real estate broker Nene Serrano Melendez came in a Jessica McClintok gown. Sole exception to the evening mode was Marissa Concepcion, who was a scene-stealer in a Dolce & Gabbana denim ankle length skirt topped by a white long-sleeved shirt. Vina Gaisberger was represented by husband, Mandarin GM Helmut G. Hall of Fame awardee Fortune Ledesma came in a red Rajo Laurel gown.
The men, palanggas, were saluted too, like Marinduque Rep. Edmundo Reyes Jr., realtor and former Gov. Rodolfo Valencia, sportscaster Bill Velasco, painter Oscar de Zalameda and basketball heartthrob Vince Hizon.
MBD chairman Karr Marin was busy attending to guests, a glittery lot like Aureo Alonzo, polo player Vince Bitong and wife Anna, Mayen Carmona and Wanda Louwallien, Myrna Borromeo, Pet Henson, Cesar Baron, Salvador Clemente and wife Ofelia, Butch Albert and son Carlo, Rossina Ticson, Melissa Infante, Marilen So and more glam personas.
The awards were hosted by Best Dressed host Johnny Litton and directed by Raymund Villanueva. Watch out for this years Best Dressed Awards, dahlings. Who knows, you could be one of them!
