Celebrations

my LIPS are SEALED… sometimes… - Maurice Arcache -
They went the rounds of restos in cosmo Manille, dahlings, to celebrate the birthday of entrepreneur and civic leader Celine Saldaña Bautista. Parties followed for two weeks hosted by, among others, Zonta Club of Metro Rizal, Catholic Women’s Club, Louie Locsin, Gigi Tanjutco, Ofie Benavides, Vicky Aquino, Pie Kalaw, Marybeth Suarez, Lulu Sotto, Meng Perdices, Chona Lazaro, Corito Galvez, Gilda Tanalega and more.

There was a big bash at Conways at Shangri-La, where the music of the ’60s brought back high school memories and they danced the bugaloo, twist, jerk, etc. all night. Marilou Pineda who was abroad sent a cake, and Celine was asked to blow the candles as her friends sang.

The Celestial Angel Society headed by Jerry Salazar recently paid tribute to St. Gabriel the Archangel with an exhibit of 50 antique statues and angel images at the Sala de Capitulacion of San Agustin Church Museum. This year’s hermano mayore, US-based Ito Curato, led the ribbon snippers on the feast day of the guardian angel. A magnificent tableau of the Anunciation courtesy of Mike Pizarro was the central focus of the exhibit. Other statues in the exhibit belonged to Boysie Villa-vicencio, Joey Bernabe, Tes Alsua, Edwin Ocampo, Francisco Vecin, Ben de Jesus, Francis Uy, Nellie Enriquez, Mark Pineda, Danny Jacinto.
