New Babes in Town

my LIPS are SEALED… sometimes… - Maurice Arcache -
There’s a new baby in the artsy Malate scene, dahlings: PNKY Collection, an antique-cum-furniture shop, part of the cozy and elegant leisure establishment called ABC Galleries, led by the gentleman who started the Malate scene, mega entrepreneur Larry J. Cruz, no less! Located right off Remedios Circle, it includes Lory Tan’s Filipino Bookstore, Claude Tayag’s Bale Dutung art furniture and crafts store and Afterwords Cafe and Bistro Remedios, both of the LJC group, natch.

The fun formal opening was thrown by Pynky Magsino, who turned her artistic passion into a thriving business in Baguio City, at the corner of Brent and Leonard Wood roads. Now she’s in Manille.

Many of our town’s hotshot personas breezed in to join the fun, like Ogie Alcasid and wife Michelle van Eimeren with their daughter Leila; photog Raymond Lauchengco; activist bizman Guillermo Luz, Jim and Lydia Paredes and more famous names from the political, social, art and entertainment scene, dahlings.

Pynky guarantees that all pieces are "100 percent hand-made" using only recycled wood salvaged from torn down old houses, plus logs, roots and driftwood littering the forest floors and riverbanks so as not to contribute to deforestation.

In Manila or in Baguio, check out PNKY collections, palanggas!

Flamers, dahlings, the US of A’s fastest growing yummy charbroiled burger and chicken food chain, opened a flagship outlet at Millennium Place on Meralco Avenue. Workaholic proprietor Ricky Sare hosted a grand party, where the likes of media folk Dexter Osorio, Allan Hernandez, Orpha Roma, Faye de Jesus, Cynthia Santiago, Chona Trinidad, Resty Vergara, Donnie Ramirez and Gilbert Perez had their fill of Philly cheesesteaks, hotdogs and other yummies.

The brightly-lit outlet, palanggas, is equipped with cable TV and a spacious free parking area. They’re open until midnight, so all you hungry souls in the Pasig area, check it out!

Remember, palanggas, "No one is too good or too bad to qualify for eternal salvation with our Lord God." Smile. See you.
