Legends and miracles

The tres elegant Chateau Margaux is known as the worlds finest wine, celebrated as "the closest to perfection achieved in wine making". During a recent press lunch, we found out that Chateau Margaux is a historic estate, prized for its unique terrain and a stately chateau called, rather romantically, the Versailles of the Medoc.
When it suffered near loss due to the crisis of 1975-76, its former owners the Ginestets found themselves looking at the ruin of this prized wine, until Andre Mentzelopoulus, a deft, urbane financier saved the Chateau Margaux.
For his daughter Corinne M., Chateau Margaux remains a visceral passion. Her daring foresight in propping traditional methods, including her bold choice of a young regisseur, resulted in a celebrated vintage. In fact, the 2000 bottle was hailed by wine critic James Suckling as "simply the best".
Brothers two Alex and Clifford Lichaytoo of Bacchus Intl feted this dynamic woman during an elegant black tie affair a full moon ago. With TV host Johnny Litton as emcee, Alex L. articulated the virtues of Chateau Margaux, "the only memorable highlight of a sometime date in New York". "It was a 78 vintage," he said, "that began the fascination."
Madame Corinne shared what it was like to oversee a fiefdom that is widely hailed, and the considerable effort, "not without much trepidation on the mercies of the elements", that goes into every vintage.
The Bethesda Springs of Hope Healing Foundation Inc., dahlings, provides holistic and psycho-spiritual healing services to meet our deepest needs. In their desire to reach out to more people who need comfort in the face of adversity, they have sought different avenues, in addition to their healing centers, to lift the spirits of wounded souls in their homes, offices and even in their cars through music and prayer. They have a special audio tape called "I Need a Miracle" that puts together the likes of songwriter Cecile Azarcon, musical director Louie Ocampo, singer Anna Tirol, author Maribi Mapa-Garcia and the healing voice of Dr. Pol Uichanco. Other tapes (audio and video) include "Healing Through the Way of the Cross" and "Healing Through the Eucharist". For inquiries, do call Bethesda, dahlings, at tel. 373-2384.
Remember, palanggas, "He who abandons himself to Jesus Christ will never be abandoned by God." Smile. See you.
