Pianne & Ryan: A harvest of memories at The Farm
Newlyweds Ryan Lavares and Pianne Sinfuego.

From the lush, romantic venue to the fabulous bridal gown, to the bride and groom who only had eyes for each other, the Sinfuego-Lavares wedding was undoubtedly a harvest of unforgettable memories. It brought together friends, family and prominent guests in an earthly paradise in Batangas.

We’ll always have Paris

Corporate executive Pianne Tobiano Sinfuego and long-time boyfriend Ryan Lavares got engaged in June 2023 after Ryan popped the question to Pianne at a time and place she never expected it to happen.

“We had both been talking about settling down for a while, but I was really surprised when he popped the question while we were on vacation in Paris in June last year,” reminisced Pianne.

“We were having a photoshoot all around Paris and finally, when we were by the Seine River, with the view of the Eiffel Tower and my mom and younger sister (Karrel) hiding from afar, Ryan proposed. It was a picturesque and beautiful moment for all of us.”

Realizing that Ryan was the one for her was not hard for Pianne. “It was not one specific moment per se, but a series of moments throughout the time we have been dating that he has shown me that he is kind, reliable, funny and many other traits I value in a partner,” Pianne shared.

Fast forward to 2024 at The Farm. Joy, romance and fun wafted through the air as family and friends gathered to witness the beautiful union of Pianne and Ryan. Even the sunny skies and clear weather seemed straight out of a fairy tale.

The mother of the bride, chemist Pinky Tobiano, was so emotional as the older of her two daughters walked down the aisle of St. Therese of the Child Jesus church in Lipa City, Batangas.

What made Pinky know Ryan was meant for Pianne?

With the bride’s family: Karrel Sinfuego, mom Pinky Tobiano, and the bride’s second dad, lawyer Juancho Robles.

“His humility and authenticity. I saw these sincere traits in him and they struck me.”

The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Macwayne Maniwang. The bride’s second father, lawyer Juancho Robles, walked her down the aisle to the altar.

The reception followed at The Farm at San Benito, also in Lipa, Batangas, a serene and picturesque venue that mirrored the couple’s idea of what a dream wedding should be like.

The location’s lush greenery, tranquil ambience and healing environment, provided the perfect backdrop for Pianne and Ryan’s once-in-a-lifetime party. From the moment guests arrived, they were enveloped in a sense of calm, peace and beauty that set the tone for the day’s event.

The reception was held under a canopy of twinkling lights and stars.

Making the special date happen turned out to be a breeze for the couple. “We were very blessed, thanks to our coordinator, Christine Ong Te, our supportive mom Pinky Tobiano, along with our supportive family and friends,” shared Pianne.

Erik Santos sang A Thousand Years (originally by Christina Perri), to the beat of a special musical arrangement, during the bridal march.

“When I saw Pianne walk the aisle, I realized I wouldn’t be the only one taking care of her now. I was a single mom making sure my children were okay. But when she walked down the aisle, I realized I have Ryan taking care of her with me now,” said Pinky.

For the reception, Erik crooned his version of Got To Believe, a song he dedicated to the bride and groom. “Erik witnessed our love story unfold from the beginning,” said Pianne.

Yeng Constantino, a good friend of the family, belted Ikaw for the couple’s first dance as husband and wife. Helping them make the perfect slow moves was D’Grind, which choreographed their every step.

Moira dela Torre, a good friend of the bride, sang Ikaw at Ako after giving a short, heartfelt message for Pianne and Ryan.

Francis Libiran created the elegant and intricately designed wedding gown of the bride that shimmered in the afternoon sun. The couturier is not new to Pianne. He created her gowns for many milestones in her life – her 18th birthday, as well as her graduations.

Pianne and Ryan met while they were both studying at the Ateneo de Manila University in 2013.They started dating in 2019, when they met again at a friend’s party.

Principal sponsors for the Sinfuego-Lavares altar date were former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson, Ambassador Joey Antonio, Ray Chiang, Rajiv Chandiramani, Cornerstone Entertainment’s Erickson Raymundo, Alilo Ensomo, Jr. and Preet Singh.

The ninangs were former Rep. Gina De Venecia, GSIS trustee lawyer Merceditas Gutierrez, Lara Villafuerte, Carisa Laus, lawyer Marilou Ancheta-Mejica, Lourdes Po and Babes Feliciano.

For their honeymoon, the couple has their sights set on Africa, where they hope to go within the year. However, the newlyweds hied off to Nay Palad in Siargao soon after their wedding.

“I really liked the idea of an unconventional honeymoon filled with adventure, romance and relaxation,” said Pianne. “I’m lucky that Ryan was really supportive of the idea.”

Other VIP guests present were Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian and Bianca Manalo, Rep. Lord Allan Velasco, Rep. Nicanor Briones, Vice Gov. Ryan Singson, Vice Gov. Mark Leviste, Philippine Airlines president Stanley Ng, Raj Uttamchandani, Anthony Pangilinan and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, Enrique Miranda and Ella Pangilinan Miranda, Tim Yap and Javi Martinez, singer Darren Espanto, Mega Sardines’ William Tiu Lim and Michelle Tiu Lim Chan.

The grandson of Gov. Chavit, Ryker, son of Ryan and Patch Singson, was the dashing banner bearer for the ceremony. The daughter of Rep. Lord Allan Velasco, Sara Velasco, was one of the flower girls.

The most memorable thing for Pianne and Ryan on that day was that they shared a day of love and bliss with those who hold a special place in their heart.

“Seeing how happy they were for us and how everyone really came together to be there for us was really touching,” Pianne said.

She is looking forward to more indelible memories with her husband.

“Over time, I realized Ryan was someone I would like to grow old with, start a family with and continue sharing new experiences with,” said the bride.
