Celebrities, led by Team Kramer (Doug and Cheska with kids Kendra, Scarlett and Gavin), graced the debut of Uratex Premium’s Trill at SM Makati.
Inspired by the millennial slang meaning “true and real,” Trill offers the first mattress in the Philippines designed to fit in a box and easily rolled out for quick installation. It delivers true comfort and real convenience through its memory foam and orthopedic foam. It has two sides: plush or firm, which is available in one flip depending on your sleeping preference.
Key speakers at the event were Janina Manipol, who talked about creating a space specific to one’s taste and lifestyle as well as recommendations on good investments for millennials who are planning to move in to their own place; David Guison, who talked about the importance of comfort and convenience in every millennial’s lifestyle; and Christiana Collings-Canlas who talked about balancing personal and family life to resonate to the millennial market whose members are still planning to start their own family.
(Trill 2-in-1 mattress is available at SM Home branches in Mall of Asia, Makati, Megamall and Cubao. For more information, visit www.trillbyuratex.com and Trill Philippines on Facebook.)
Get HOOQ’d on Ulan
HOOQ PH content and programming head Jeff Remigio, Nadine Lustre and HOOQ chief content officer Jennifer Batty.
HOOQ, reportedly the largest video-on-demand service in Southeast Asia, recently hosted two premiere nights for Ulan, its first foray into Filipino originals.
Guests trooped to TriNoma Mall for the premiere night with the film’s leading lady Nadine Lustre present, with her boyfriend James Reid. Also present were HOOQ officials led by regional head of PR and communications Kavi Saglani, content and programming head Jeff Remigio and head of marketing Milette Rosal.
The video-on-demand service also hosted a block screening for special guests at The Podium. During the screening, Nadine dropped by for a surprise appearance, which delighted moviegoers.
Chief content officer Jennifer Batty said, “This is a significant milestone for HOOQ and HOOQ Originals. We are continuing with our promise to bring the very best content from the most promising and talented actors, scriptwriters and directors in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia. Ulan is already one of the most highly anticipated titles of the year, and the first of many more HOOQ Original Movies to come. To partner with Viva on our first original film is super exciting.”
Nadine plays Maya, a woman fascinated with the rain and with the ability to see and interact with mythical creatures called tikbalang (half-man, half-horse). Carlo Aquino plays Peter, a volunteer for a non-government organization and Maya’s love interest.
Country manager Sheila Paul said, “The Philippines has an abundance of talented filmmakers who are really pushing the boundaries of the medium in terms of storytelling, format and style. We see great promise in the market and will continue to invest in original content in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia. We want to encourage them to challenge conventions and develop engaging, high-quality Filipino content that we can all be proud of.”
Ulan is the fourth feature film from Filipino director Irene Villamor. She also directed Sid &Aya: Not A Love Story, Camp Sawi and Meet Me in St. Gallen.
HOOQ’s extensive library of Filipino movies and shows include Irene’s complete catalog of films as well as Lustre’s hits Never Not Love You, This Time, Diary Ng Panget, On The Wings of Love and Beauty and the Bestie.
