MANILA, Philippines – Meaningful partnerships should be celebrated.

Three of the country’s esteemed institutions Philippine National Bank (PNB), Philippine Airlines (PAL) and MasterCard recently came together at the Conservatory of The Peninsula Manila to celebrate their successful partnerships through the years.

PNB director Michael Tan, president Reynaldo Maclang, PAL president and COO Jaime Bautista and MasterCard country head Poch Villa-Real raised their glasses to lead the toast to express their mutual appreciation and commitment to each other.

Joining them were PNB’s Bernie Tocmo, Annie Umali, Joven Hernandez, Chris Dobles and Adelia Joson; PAL’s Kevin Hartigan-Go, Marietta Casanova and Nina Tchoi; and MasterCard’s Jo-Ann Camacho, Judith Dayrit, Ailea Zialcita and Grace Gloria.

At the event, media friends of the three institutions were also recognized for their continued support.

Highlighting the event was the introduction of the revved up and enhanced features of PNB MasterCard Credit Cards, which includes the PNB Philippine Airlines MasterCard, as part of PNB’s upcoming centennial celebration.

The improved PNB MasterCard Credit Cards now provide greater benefits, perks and security especially with the EMV/Chip technology that provides increased protection against counterfeit credit card fraud; PNB MasterCard In Control, which offers a safe way of giving family members access to supplementary credit cards while setting responsible spending boundaries; and Contactless technology, which allows cardholders to make payments by simply tapping the card.

With these cards, cardholders can enjoy unsurpassed acceptance across the globe, and use their credit card in over 40 million merchant locations, ATMs and online retailers in more than 210 countries and territories.

Indeed, the continued partnership of PNB, PAL and MasterCard results in the innovation of financial products aimed to empower Filipinos.   Beyond celebrating partnerships, the event served as an opportunity to renew and strengthen ties among these three institutions.
