A harmony of flavors

A harmony of strong and aromatic flavors makes Thai cooking unique. These distinct and marvelous flavors of Thai dishes were the stars at the recently concluded “Flavors of Thailand” festival held at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s Cucina.

Marco Polo Ortigas Manila general manager Frank Reichenbach, director of F&B Mirko de Giorgi and director of marketing communications Judith Los Baños welcomed the VIP guests — Thai diplomats led by Thai Ambassador Thanatip Upatising, representatives from Thai Airways and other company guests who all enjoyed the rich, signature dishes at the lunch buffet.

The all-day dining restaurant is known for its diverse showcase of live action stations featuring a symphony of flavors from different culinary capitals. Diners gave in to their gourmet Thai cravings with the special menu prepared by special guest chefs Sunisa Nualthongkaew and Watcharavee Rujechotiphat, who were flown in from Bangkok courtesy of Thai Airways for the week-long event.

Till the next gastronomic celebration!

Beautiful times

It was a fun-filled dinner party with beautiful people at the chic joint birthday celebration of DermAsia Corp. CEO Nikki Tang and Carol Mercado held at Manila Hotel’s Café Ilang-Ilang.

Both birthday celebrators were gorgeous in white, with Carol cutting an elegant figure in a haltered one-piece pantsuit and Nikki looking very sultry in short lacy hot pants.

We wish both ladies the best the world can offer.
