Images of grace

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

Portraits of remarkable women of exceptional character, charity and grace were mounted at the recent Fashionable Senses and Sensibilities photo exhibit at Greenbelt 5 Fashion Walk in  Makati City.

The exhibit featured the photos of the Style Icons and awardees as well as the Ambassadors for Life of the 2015 Best Dressed Women of the Philippines. Photographs of Best Dressed event chairperson Angola Consul Helen Ong, the Men of Extraordinary Influence awardees and the members of the Best Dressed selection and organizing committee were also on display. The Best Dressed event is held annually for the benefit of Philippine Cancer Society’s (PCS’) cancer awareness programs.

The photo exhibit, a joint project with the Camera Club of the Philippines (CCP), had PCS trustee Frank Eizmendi and CCP president Fred Yuson cutting the ribbon at the opening.

A highlight of the program was the donation of a set of jewelry — a necklace, earrings and bangle called “The Serpent” made of gold-plated sterling silver and hand-carved lapis lazuli — by Milagros Imson of KitSilver Jewellery for the charity auction. The auction will form part of the program of the 12th Best Dressed Women Awards Ball set on Sept. 22 at Makati Shangri-La Hotel’s Rizal Ballroom.

A huge crowd enjoyed the photographs and the sumptuous cocktail buffet fare from The French Baker courtesy of its CEO Johnlu Koa. The exhibit was also supported by San Miguel Corp., BA Securities, EastWest Bank, Chrysler, Czarina, PAGCOR,  Camera Club of the Philippines, The Bellevue Hotels & Resorts, 105.1 Crossover FM and Bloomwoods Flowershop.

Good times with good friends

It was definitely a special evening for the sophisticated Linda Tan as she celebrated her birthday with her good friends including Leyte Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and husband Richard Gomez, John Estrada and Salome Dy in an exclusive dinner at the posh CAV Wine Shop-Café in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The intimate gathering was an affair to remember most especially for Linda. Her guests enjoyed the restaurant’s superb dishes and finest vintage wines that had the group chatting until well past midnight.

Here’s to more gorgeous years,  Linda!
